The hotel is situated on a busy road in the centre of Munich, just 200 metres from the main railway station. The key shopping area - Marienplatz - and all Munich's central sights are within walking distance.

The Einhorn is housed in an imposing Art Deco building with a grey façade in typical Munich style. The Art Deco ambience persists in the lobby, where rugs are scattered across the floor amid large potted plants and dark rattan furniture. There is a small bar area in one corner and an attractive skylight, which adds character. Medium sized and well maintained, the 112 guestrooms feature bright, fresh décor, complemented by modern dark wood furniture. They are also sound proofed with double-glazing and are therefore pleasantly quiet in spite of the hotel’s central location. Some guests have offered mixed comments about the hotel’s cold buffet breakfast, perhaps expecting a more lavish, Bravarian spread. None the less, the dining room, on the ground floor, is light and airy with windows overlooking the street. Guests can also enjoy drinks, including cocktails and German beers, until 01.00 in the lounge bar.
