The hotel is very centrally located in Munich, only 2 minutes’ walk from the main train station and 10 minutes from Marienplatz and the city’s main shopping district.

The Germania Hotel is housed in a somewhat boxy, sedate building with a grey façade, which is not particularly inspiring architecturally. This is very much a functional hotel geared to busy traffic from business travellers and sightseers. The lobby is very small with a comfortable seating area just to the left of the entrance. The guestrooms, although compact and not plush, are superior to those of other comparable three-star hotels in the same district, in spite of their slightly sombre décor. The hotel breakfast room, situated to the left of the lobby, is bright and modern with bistro style furniture in light wood. It offers a comprehensive buffet breakfast.
