Built in 1858, the Kempinski Vier Jahreszeiten Hotel is housed in a traditional building - typical of Munich’s grandest architecture - with a pale beige stone facade. Combining Old World charm with luxurious comfort, the spacious lobby features dark wood panelling and an enormous circular stained glass skylight, which depicts the four seasons. The 316 guestrooms vary in size due to the age of the building and guests have reported that some of the doubles can be fairly small. However all are well maintained and traditionally decorated, with dark wood furniture. Guests can escape from the stress of their daily routine by means of a visit to rooftop pool and wellness area with its solar-balcony, which commands marvellous views over the city. The hotel’s elegant main restaurant serves a classic gourmet menu. Alternatively, the "Jahreszeiten Eck" brasserie is more informal. There is also a snack bar is by the roof top pool.
